Tairunnessa Memorial Medical College & Hospital began its journey with the initial efforts of its founder and chairman, M. Shamsul Hoque at Konia, Gazipur. Tairunnessa Memorial Medical College & Hospital was established as Tairunnessa Memorial Medical Center in 1995.
Years passed and it turned into a hospital and research center; Tairunnessa Memorial Medical College & Hospital constitutes TMMC Hospital, a 600-bed hospital complex, a college building having 9 floors and an administrative block, one hostel for boys and one hostel for girls. Indian food is provided in the mess.
Academics
A Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree with a mandatory one-year internship is offered by Tairunnessa Memorial Medical College & Hospital. MBBS from Tairunnessa Memorial Medical College & Hospital is recognised by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council, Medical Council of India(MCI), W.H.O and many other medical bodies across the globe. Tairunnessa Memorial Medical College & Hospital has its affiliation with University of Dhaka.

The hospital of Tairunnessa Memorial Medical College & Hospital has 600-beds, providing 24-hour emergency service, with additional trauma center, EPI etc. which allows students to get on hand practical knowledge as it has good outpatient flow.
