Sylhet Women’s Medical College is to aid and nurture the students in the training and education of medicine and surgery so that the students can become an expert doctor with broad and practical knowledge. After completion of Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree, the mandatory one-year internship and the adjacent and associated 625-bed teaching hospital allows the students to do practical on patients/human bodies. The most dense population allows an excellent patient flow. An important role will be played by the students in the community hospital which offers not only sole clinical exposure to a wide range of medical conditions, but the right set of circumstances to have an impact on patients and their families too. History:
Sylhet Women’s Medical College was established in 2005.
In 2007, the Hospital by the name Sylhet Women’s Medical College Hospital was established by Holy Sylhet Holding Limited (HSHL) , the same organization which established Sylhet Women’s Medical College with the permission of the Government of Bangladesh.
