Introduction to Ayush Systems of Medicine

The Ministry of Ayush was formed on the 9th of November 2014 with a vision of reviving the profound knowledge of our ancient systems of medicine and ensuring the optimal development and propagation of the Ayush systems of healthcare. Earlier, the Department of Indian System of Medicine and Homoeopathy (ISM&H) formed in 1995, was responsible for the development of these systems. It was then renamed as the Department of Ayurveda, Yoga, and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (Ayush) in November 2003 with focused attention towards education and research in Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homoeopathy.

Ayush systems of medicine include Indian systems of medicine and Homoeopathy. Ayush is an acronym for Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa Rigpa and Homoeopathy. NEET COUNSELLING: WHAT IS IT?

After passing the exam, the next stage is NEET counseling. Through NEET counselling, candidates will be admitted to medical institutes across India. The seats will be assigned based on the candidate’s All India Rank and preferred college.
As per the most recent update, candidates would have the option to select AIIMS and JIPMER institutes from a list provided during the NEET counselling.

WHICH MODE IS USED FOR NEET COUNSELLING?

Depending on the state and federal agencies involved, NEET counseling can be done online or offline. Students taking part in online counseling will need to complete online procedures and fill out online paperwork. In order to participate in the offline counseling, candidates must report to their respective venues.

WHAT IS THE NEET COUNSELLING REGISTRATION FEE? During the registration procedure, candidates from the general category under 15% AIQ must

pay Rs. 1000/- (non-refundable) and 10,000/- (refundable) as a security deposit.

AT WHAT TIME IS NEET COUNSELLING AGAIN? NEET counseling is typically started as soon as the results are known. Participants in NEET Counseling are candidates who have cleared the cut-off by attaining the minimum qualifying percentile in the NEET exam.

WHO RUNS THE STATE AND PRIVATE COLLEGES COUNSELLING?
The counseling will be handled by the state’s counseling authority for 85% of the state quota seats and private colleges.

HOW MANY ROUNDS OF THE PROCESS ARE THERE IN TOTAL?

In total, three rounds of NEET counseling are held, with Deemed/Central universities conducting a mop-up round.

IF THE STUDENT IS NOT SELECTED FOR A SEAT IN A MEDICAL COLLEGE, WHAT HAPPENS?
There is no reason for concern if the student is not able to secure a spot in a medical college. He or she has a plethora of additional options that are just as fascinating and demanding, like courses in pharmacy, nutrition, clinical research, nursing, etc.

Is it possible for the students to take part in the second round of counseling?

After completing the admissions procedure, students who were given a seat in the first round can choose to upgrade in the second round. They can even give up their seat and take part in the following round.
